Hi, I'm Adam! I'm a Los Angeles-based composer for film and television who enjoys genre-blending musical styles to create music that’s unique, fun, and inviting.
Whether I’m working on animated fiction or live action dramas, I’m drawn to stories that highlight our similarities rather than our differences. By weaving threads of unique sounds and melodies throughout a score, a composer helps create subconscious connections between characters and plot points, while also opening an audience up to appreciate new sonic worlds they possibly never would have been exposed to. That’s the beauty of scoring for media.; through the use of musical story-telling we have the opportunity to create something truly unique every time.
Originally from Detroit, MI, I studied Jazz Saxophone Performance at Wayne State University, later moving to Chicago to pursue my masters in Music Composition for the Screen at Columbia College where I was awarded a Graduate Assistantship and the opportunity to collaborate with and study under composers Kubilay Uner, Brandon Campbell, Peter Golub, and David Wingo (to name a few).
During my career, I have had the pleasure to work and collaborate with many incredible composers and artists and currently enjoy working with award-winning composer Michael Kramer on many exciting projects such as the newly released He Man and the Masters of the Universe (Netflix), The Ghost and Molly McGee (Disney Channel), Lego Star Wars Summer Vacation (Disney+), Ninjago, (Cartoon Network), and many more.
In August 2019, I was selected to participate in the Society of Composer and Lyricists Mentor Program, which brings together young composers and songwriters with leading professionals such as Jeff Russo, Allee Willis, and Christopher Farrell, to discuss the craft, art, and business of music industry. I was also selected to participate in the Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival 2019, where original scores are performed live to picture by the incredible Helix Collective.
